Photo Essay and Presentation

Description

Photo essays involve the photo documentation of places, ranging from a single structure through a streetscape, up to a regional scale.  While the emphasis is on visual images, the use of text can be developed and integrated to express a comprehensive message to include information on architectural style, historical background, and special interest facts.

Contexts

  • Structure exterior/interior

  • Historic documentation

  • Details

  • Small town Main Streets

  • Urban downtowns

  • State parks

  • Landscapes

Process

The strategy involves subject research, a series of photo-shoots, image review and selection, digital work flow processing, presentation design, text development, and the preparation of a PowerPoint presentation.  This process culminates as a digital slide show presentation including narration or musical accompaniment.
